Most Village residents are familiar with one of Amelia’s two parks, Spencer Shank Park. It has been host to various community events—concerts, cookouts, and more—and this Saturday the Village will come together with Bridgeway Baptist Church for a movie night! At 8pm on August 12th, join family and friends to watch Toy Story 3 accompanied by free popcorn and snow-cones.
Located across from the Ohio Pike Walmart, Bridgeway Baptist Church launched on the Easter of 2013. At that first meeting, Pastor Brent Cunningham remarks that the congregation was composed of just fourteen people and a dog. Since, it has expanded to two morning services to accommodate the church growth. The church did not stop there—in October 2016, it initiated a Riverside Campus in Moscow, Ohio, to reach out to residents in small towns on the Ohio River. Discussing the impact of Bridgeway, Pastor Cunningham says, “Many people have come to faith in Christ and many unchurched people have renewed their commitment to the Lord since Bridgeway started. We are excited to serve our community and make an impact for Christ.”
Feel free to visit Bridgeway for the 9:15AM or 11:00AM services, and be sure to connect with them at this weekend’s movie night!
