Trump attorney Jay Sekulow to characterize South Dakota in Deliberate Parenthood v. Noem – KNBN NewsCenter1

PIERRE, S.D. – Governor Kristi Noem has announced that she and the State of South Dakota have retained attorney Jay Sekulow to join the State’s legal team in the ongoing Planned Parenthood v. Noem litigation.

South Dakota is appealing the current ruling to the United States 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. The state’s appeal in Planned Parenthood v. Noem seeks to uphold the South Dakota state law requiring that a pregnant woman consult with a pregnancy help center before deciding whether to have an abortion.

As a member of President Donald Trump’s legal team, Sekulow served as lead outside counsel for Trump’s First Impeachment Trial in the United States Senate.
